Allman Brothers Band celebrates good health with a trip to NYC

It may have taken a little longer than anticipated, but The Allman Brothers Band is finally ready to take to New York for its annual run of concerts at the Beacon Theater. The legendary outfit was forced to postpone the original dates, as well as canceled scheduled appearances at the Wanee Music Festival and Bonnaroo over the summer due to founding member Gregg Allman’s recovery from hepatitis C. Now healthy, Gregg and Co. will look to return to the venue where they have played over 175 times for a 10-night run beginning in early March.

While additional details, including ticket information, are still forthcoming, the band has promised to honor tickets for the original stint at the eventual rescheduled concerts. Additional shows will likely be added to the residency in the coming weeks as well.

In the meantime, Gregg Allman will use the coming weeks to finish up a tour with his solo band, Gregg Allman and Friends.
