Since our inception 16 months ago, Consequence of Sound has quickly risen the ranks of the music blogosphere, currently sporting some 15,000 unique viewers a day and enough acclaim to fill a book. We’ve reported on the most talked about news, interviewed the biggest names, covered the largest music festivals, and developed a seemingly never ending database of information, spanning everything from festival lineups to the latest updates on the next reunion. Needless to say, it’s been quite a ride this last year and a half, a ride many of us still haven’t really fully grasped, but one which we wouldn’t trade for the world.
In the latest step in our ultimate goal of becoming the number one source of all things music on the internet, Consequence of Sound is ringing in the New Year by sponsoring our first ever event, the fifth annual Tomorrow Never Knows Music Festival. Between January 14 and 18, our friends at the Schubas Music Tavern in Chicago will present a lineup of indie darlings, hometown favorites, and stellar DJs for what will be five nights of music that will please any music fan. This year, CoS is joining in on the fun; not only will we be live and on site at Schubas all week long, but we will be serving as a proud sponsor, the first in what will be many CoS backed events.
Yes, TNK is just the beginning of what will be a very busy year for Consequence of Sound. In the coming weeks and months, we will be unveiling a number of new changes with a surprise or two mixed in between. Of course, we don’t want to ruin anything – though, you might want to keep a watchful eye on the sidebar over the next day or two – but rest assured, when complete, we will have both the support and technology to bring you the best music coverage on the web.
To celebrate this fact, and raise a bit of cash for charity, Consequence of Sound will soon be launching its first annual Ultimate Raffle.
Here’s the basic gist. We will be raffling a number of awesome prizes, everything from Langerado three-day passes and a Sundance channel prize pack to autographed merchandise and bundle of CDs. By purchasing a raffle ticket, you will be eligible to win any one of these many prizes. Of course, if you buy more than one ticket, you’ll have a better chance of winning, and could even possibly take home more than one item.
But that’s only the beginning. By purchasing a ticket, you’ll not only be eligible to win one of many great 
prizes and be supporting Consequence of Sound and all of our upcoming endeavors, but you’ll also be helping make the world better for artists.
