Let’s face it. Aside from Glasvegas’ self-titled debut, there isn’t much to chose from in the new music section of your local record store, Best Buy, iTunes, or wherever else you go to legally acquire music this first week of January. Thankfully, Andrew Bird and the fine folks over at NPR.org have teamed up to shared their talents and webspace for some early music fun that should stimulate your brain until next Tuesday rolls around.

Head on over to NPR.org right this very second, and you’ll find a full-length stream of Mr. Bird’s forthcoming new studio album, Noble Beast. Yes, all 12 tracks of the Chicago native’s fifth full-length effort, due out January 20th via Fat Possum Records, are currently available as a free and legal stream for the foreseeable future. Sure, as hell makes up for the three cavities I was just alerted of during my annual trip to the dentist!

Unfortunately, this particular stream does not feature the tracks from the instrumental-heavy Useless Creatures, aka disc two of Noble Beast‘s deluxe edition For that, you’ll have to head over to Mr. Bird’s personal website. Could life get any better?

Maybe some free tickets to one of his upcoming North American shows? No? Oh well, they’re still available via Ticketmaster.com.
