After spending the better half of 2008 celebrating the release of their latest studio album, Day & Age, playing Saturday Night Live, and dressing up in really weird outfits, The Killers will soon hit the road for a pretty extensive world tour. And as we learn today, that trek will include a number of more U.S. locations.

Following the previously announced 15-date U.S. stint, which is scheduled to kick off tonight in Boulder and a trip to Europe beginning in late February, Brandon Flowers and Co. will return back to North America in April. Currently, the leg includes 16 dates, but with a spot at this year’s Coachella already confirmed – possible on Saturday? – and a number of other festival festival appearances expected, that number should certainly jump.

Tickets for these newly announced shows will go on sale beginning January 23rd via Ticketmaster.com.
