What’s that? You missed yesterday’s We Are One concert and it wasn’t because you were incapacitated from a random bear attack or fall of a cliff? Of course, you have some explaining to do, but fortunately, a number of videos from the Bruce, Bono, and Barack-friendly event have since surfaced.
Basically, the event was good as billed. Sure, if you’re still upset about the election’s outcomes, these videos won’t help you feel any better. That being said, between Springsteen’s jaw-dropping performance of “The Rising” Bono’s ever-captivating onstage antics, and the appearance of 89-year-old folk legend Pete Seeger, yes I said 89-years-old, the concert is a must-see for any music fan, regardless of political affiliation. Hell, I could even stomach Garth Brook’s performance of “American Pie”!
Check out most of the performances, and Barack’s speech below. If you like what you see, you can catch an encore of the event its entirety at both 1 pm and 9:30 pm EST on HBO or right this second on HBO.com.
