From the looks of it, the spring of this year just got a whole lot better for bands to experience live. For the seventh straight year in a row, the Jagermeister Music Tour will commence in the beginning of April, however this time it will go beyond its predecessors. Teaming up for the tour’s main headliners include legendary Hermosa Beach, California skate punks Pennywise and Hawaii-based reggae rockers Pepper.
If that isn’t enough to dust off the old Birdhouse skateboards and party with mega 7-11 Bip Gulps, it gets even better. Pennywise are clicking on the heels of their most recent release, Reason To Believe on MySpace Records, and still going strong after twenty years of nonstop old school, punk rock. Pepper, on the other hand, will venture on the tour once again in support of their fifth album Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations as well as a live release, Kona Gold, due out sometime in April. Talk about a match made in punk rock heaven!
Probably the best deal on the market for mainstream bands right now, the Jagermeister Tour aims not only to sell tickets at less than $30, but also to interact with their fanbase for giveaways and prizes, all while promoting safe alcohol responsibilities.
Who didn’t sing Pennywise’s famous “Bro Hymn Tribute” back in middle school? I have yet to find a soul alive that hasn’t. This shall be good.
