Watch: Black Lips go retro on “Short Fuse”

What’s that, a new Black Lips video? And it’s weird? Shocker! Hot off the release of their brand new album, 200 Million Thousand, our favorite “art punk” rockers – by the way, did you know they hate that term? – have apparently dug up Chuck Jones, or found someone with quite similar animation skills, for the band’s latest music video.

Complementing the incredibly catchy sounds of the new album’s lead single, “Short Fuse”, the images you are about to see, well, truly do come out of something probably seen on Saturday morning television in the 1970s. Unfortunately, in characteristic Black Lips manner, the video is probably probably a bit too risque for the G Rated crowd – unless you feel like explaining why Humpty Dumpty was assassinated. Then again, there isn’t any animated nudity…

…anyhow, watch at your own risk…
