Bloc Party mixes up Intimacy

With the band currently engaged in mammoth schedule, which includes a stint in the U.S. until May, a slew of European festival appearances over the summer, and an already announced October U.K. tour, it only makes sense the boys of Bloc Party are looking to spice up their appeal, especially since by the time the aforementioned U.K. kicks off, their most recent effort, Intimacy, will have been out for almost a year. And what better way to do so then by releasing a brand new album.

Only, this is the type that doesn’t take much effort, at least from Bloc Party perspective. Due out May 11th, Intimacy Remixed will once again see the English outfit offering remixes of an entire album; No Age, Filthy Dukes, and We Have Band highlight the acts who contribute their remixing talents, as did Mogwai, which previously remixed Bloc Party on 2005’s Silent Alarm Remixed. The album will be headed by the band’s latest single, “Signs” (Armand Van Helden Remix) on April 27th. However, thanks to the glories of the internet, you can get an early preview below…
