A 30 year-old album and state fairs…sounds like my kind of tour! In support of the 30th anniversary of the band’s 1980 classic British Steel, Judas Priest will take to the road this summer to relive the album in its entirety. With support from Whitesnake, the legendary heavy metal outfit will launch what is currently a 23-date North American endeavor beginning July 1st in St. Charles, Missouri. Stops at Summerfest, the Taste of Minnesota, and even the California Mid-State Fair follow, making Judas Priest’s summer plans well, somewhat exciting, or at least, however exciting a spot at the California Mid-State Fair can be.

Oh, and just in case your left out of this round of tour dates, don’t worry. Frontman Rob Halford tells Billboard.com that “plans are afoot” for another tour later in the year, where Judas Priest will perform last year’s Nostradamus in its entirety.
