So, I guess the cool new thing to do these days is play a late night residency. After all, just days after U2 finished its week long stint on Letterman comes news that Prince will be doing the same on Leno. According to Billboard.com, the legendary musician will take to The Tonight Show for a three-night stop from May 25-27 in support of his new box set. Prince will also reportedly play a fourth night on May 28th in celebration of Leno’s end as host of the show.
As previously reported, Prince will release two new studio efforts, LOtUSFLOW3R and MPLSoUND, along with Bria Valentes new album, Elixir as a Target-exclusive box set on March 29th. The release will also apparently be supported by a slew of other publicity events, as alluded to in a recent email sent from the musician to fans:
“From the 24th on, there will b a slew of NPG-related events happening around electric LAlaland.. we don’t want 2 give away all the details yet, but b prepared 2 get yo groove on, numerous ways 4 numerous days.
