Want to know how cool Soulive‘s new album is? So cool that even a month before its release date (April 14th), the Buffalo’s trio’s latest studio creation is already on a higher pedestal…Up Here in fact. Add in the fact that Up Here, described as “undeniably infectious groove” of old school favorites and more retro arrangements, will mark the debut release for the Soulive’s recently launched personal imprint Royal Family Records and things things are pretty good for a band currently celebratings its 10th anniversary. Time to pop the champagne!
Just one day after the album’s April 14th release, Soulive will embark on a fairly extensive North American tour, highlighted by an appearance at the second annual Royal Family Ball on April 30th in New Orleans; the concert will see the band team up with labelmates Lettuce, along with Russell Bastiste and Ivan Neville for the festivities.
