Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it just a couple months ago that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah was abadoning all upcoming plans in favor of a “long break”? So what was the Brooklyn outfit doing by not only appearing as the music guest on last Night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but debuting a brand new song on said appearance?
Hot on the heels of its “final show” at Brooklyn Academy of Music last month, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah took to late night last night to offer the debut a rather melodic selection entitled “Statues”. And while the song sounded a little rough, the inclusion of some harmonic and frontman Alec Ounsworth one-of-a-kind vocals was surely enough to have the entire studio audience – some of which who managed to score spots on the set’s balcony. Yes, Jimmy Fallon’s set has a balcony – and all those watching from home to head to CYHSY’s website to pick up a copy of the track…
…for the cost of an email address, fans can now download a digitial demo of “Statues”.
