Biclops works on debut album and tour

Once in a while bands will come around and produce some killer wicked sounds that are too good to be left alone. This is the recent case with Middletown, New Jersey’s alternative metal quartet, Biclops. Combining stellar guitar work, melodic vocals and astounding screams that would make the Lord of the Pit himself happy with glee, the young quartet is busy in the studio putting the finishing touches on their full-length debut album. The band is currently working with producer Will Putney, whose credits include working with Lamb of God, King Crimson and Clutch. Count me in!

The band comprises members of melodic metal bands Dark New Day and East Of The Wall, but with a killer and more sinister approach to the music. According to the band’s most recent blog posting on its homepage:

We still have about five days left open on the tour still, so if anyone has a friend who knows a band who totally rocks and they talk to this dude who feeds a parrot who shits on a hydrofoil that floats towards an island that has the best shows ever, you should drop us a line if that island is anywhere near our tour routing.

Recording is winding down. Almost all the melodic vocals are done, besides a few harmonies. Screams have to be done for three more songs and we have to record some trumpets and keys, and then we mix. We’re hoping to have one new song on the website before the tour, but don’t expect to hear more than that until we have a release window (unless you go on bit torrent where I’m sure it’s already online, along with the rest of our albums through 2015).

If that doesn’t sell the debut, I’m honestly stumped as to what will. Currently the band is shopping around for a label, as well as gearing up for more tour dates. Seriously check these guys out when you get a chance, they will not disappoint at all.
