Girls in a Coma, everyone’s favorite Morrissey inspired, all girls outfit is back…literally. On June 2nd, the San Antonio based trio will look to relive the past with the release of it’s much anticipated sophomore effort, Trio B.C.. How so? Well, for one, the album’s title was inspired by the sisters’ grandfather’s band Tejano band from the 1950s, whose styles and sounds are said to be the first real influence for the band. Grandfather also makes an appearance on the album – he appears on the cover – as does Joan Jett, Kenny Laguna, Gabriel Gonzalez, and Greg Collins, who all served as producers for the 13 track effort.

In support of the release, Girls in a Coma will embark on a 38-date North American tour beginning late May, which currently includes stops at both 80/35 and Summerfest. No word on whether these shows will be vegan…
