Having already caught the attention of the U.K. kids courtesy the 7” “Black Magic”, Magic Wands are ready to turn their attention stateside with the release of their first U.S. EP and some scary talented touring.

But first, some background: Magic Wand’s origin sounds something like a Lifetime film. In 2007, Chris Valentine discovered “Teenage Love”, a song written by Dexy, on MySpace that he loved instantly. Chris and Dexy began talking to each other over the phone that summer and they soon fell for each other. Eventually, even though they were over 2000 miles apart, Chris would travel to Los Angeles and take Dexy for a trip across the United States. They arrived in Nashville and started to record under the name Magic Wands.

Catchy melodies and powerful hooks, accompanied by distorted and strong rhythm and bass, drive the sound behind this sleek band. Magic Wands has one of the most unique and exciting sounds to come out of America for some time and was an instant success, commercially and critically.
