It looks like Phish has a rival for the 2009 summer tour most likely to leave the DEA in a panic. Following a spring trek with K’Naan and a couple festival appearances, the one and only Snoop Dogg will join forces with Slightly Stoopid and Stephen Marley for the 18-date “Blazed and Confused” tour.
Yes, you read it right, the “Blazed and Confused” tour.
The fun begins on July 10th in Primm, Nevada and will continue through early August, with stops throughout the west and east coast. A must attend event, says Mr. Dogg:
“Ya’ll just make sure ya’ll tune in because Snoop Dogg and Slightly Stoopid, we gonna be rippin’, rockin’, flippin’, floppin’, hippin’ and hoppin’ in a ‘hood near you,” the rapper said in a statement.
Snoop Dogg will be using the tour to introduce fans to his forthcoming album, Malice in Wonderland, while Slightly Stoopid will continue to support last year’s Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid. As for Stephen Marley? Well, he’s still supporting 2007’s Mind Control, which ironically featued the single “The Traffic Jam” that would eventually be remixed by Snoop Dogg.
