As we reported last month, the weekend of April 17-19, aka THIS WEEKEND, will mark what is being billed as America’s largest Earth Day celebration. That’s because the fifth annual Green Apple Music Festival will be bringing the music to ten U.S. cities and volunteers who aren’t afraid to get down and dirty to save Mother Earth.

It just so turns out however, that attendees of the Washington, D.C. component will have the biggest, and well, most eclectic of the bunch. After all, how else would you describe a bill that featuring The Flaming Lips, moe., Los Lobos, along with the MCing talents of Mr. Chevy Chase? Also scheduled to take part in the D.C. festivies are DJ Spooky, the Joy of Motion Dance Center’s teen hip hop company, Urban Impact,  Matthew Modine, and Philippe Pierre Jacques-Yves Arnault Cousteau Jr.

Want to go? Then, sign up to save Earth. If that’s not a reasonable price to see Wayne Coyne, I don’t know what is.
