Despite a number of delays, Matisyahu is still planning to release Light, the followup to 2006’s Youth, sometime before the year is over – presumably as soon as this summer. After all, the Jewish rapper has to have something to support during his extensive summer tour, right?

In addition to a stint on this summer’s festival circuit, the upcoming itinerary includes a number of headlining and co-headlining shows with Les Claypool, K’naan, and Umphrey’s McGee. For the tour, Matisyahu will be joined by his new backing band, Dub Trio, featuring guitarist Aaron Dugan and keyboardist Rob Marscher.
