It turns out that “This is Spinal Tap” resurgence won’t only consist of a tour. On June 16th, the star-studded actor/musician trio that is Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer will release a brand new studio album as Spinal Tap – nearly 17 years after the release of their last effort, 1992’s Break Like the Wind.

Aptly entitled Back From the Dead, the 19-track effort will include six brand new songs, along with reworks of a number of classics, such as “Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight”, “Big Bottom”, “Stonehenge”, and “Gimme Some Money”. Special guests, like Steve Vai, John Mayer, Keith Emerson and Phil Collen will also be included in the release, as well as a bonus DVD featuring “exclusive” track-by-track video commentary by the trio.

But wait…there’s more!

“Back From the Dead is a deluxe CD/DVD package aggressively priced and containing…a unique pop-up diorama package that unveils three 12-inch action figures (courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles) of the band along with a proportionally sized Stonehenge.”

That’s right, kids, action figures and your own Stonehenge! Queuing reenactment of scene recreated with these said figures on YouTube in 3…2…1.
