What is hard to believe is that The Killers are not only still on the road in support of last year’s Day & Age, but recently added another round of U.S. dates for later this summer. Will someone have mercy?
What isn’t hard to believe is that The Killers still have no problem making us cringe – as was the case when the Brandon Flowers and Co. stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman last night to offer a rendition of “A Dustland Fairytale”.
Backed by a full-fledged orchestra, Mr. Feathersworth and his compadres once again found a way to make things way too dramatic. I wouldn’t go as far to call their performance a mockery, but at the very least, they are starting to give the Arcade Fire a run of its money as most egotistical band alive.
