“Me is a common sense man,” Bob Marley once said. “That mean when me explain things me explain it in a very simple way, that mean if I explain it to a baby the baby will understand too, you know.”

Marley’s oldest son, Ziggy, is apparently using these words as the basis for his latest studio effort: “My father’s music spans generations and with B is for Bob we give the youngest their very own Bob Marley record.”

Yes, parents, on June 23rd, Ziggy Marley will look to introduce the styles and sounds of his legendary father to your children. The kids-approved B is for Bob will feature eight reworks of classic Marley songs, along with four additional tracks left untouched. The effort will also include bonus online digital content including coloring book pages, a sing-a-long music video and audio stream previews of Ziggy Marley’s own recently released kids album, Family Time.

No word on whether Ziggy is planning on performing any this material on his upcoming summer tour with 31, but for unmentionable reasons – shh, this is a kids post!, that’d be oddly hilarious.
