Cymbals Eat Guitars’ debut gets proper release

And who said the blogosophere can’t change the world? For many months now, Cymbals Eat Guitars have been living the indie lifestyle – literally. Back in March, the New York based outfit self-released its debut LP, Why There Are Mountains,  by calling record shops around the country and convincing them why they should carry the nine-track effort. The hard work eventually paid off, and a few months of glowing reviews later, Cymbal Eat Guitars will finally get an opportunity to properly release their debut. It will be unveiled on September 22nd via Sister’s Den Records.

In support of the release, the band will embark on a rather eclectic summer road trip, consisting of everything from shows with Art Brut to an appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival.
