For seven days, and seven days only, three pretty talked-about acts will take part in one what surely will be one pretty talked-about collaboration.
According to Pitchfork, beginning August 1st, No Age, Deerhunter, and Dan Deacon will embark on a seven-date U.S. tour that will see the three indie heavy-hitters teaming up for some musical togetherness. Says No Age’s Randy Randall: “We’re looking to really kind of meld together the ideas that currently exist in one band’s song, and then augment them, either by having other members play together or adding something new to the song that’ll transition to another song. So you’ll still hear Deerhunter and Dan Deacon and No Age songs, but they’ll be boosted in a way by having other members play in them as well.”
But a good thing can only last so long, and as mentioned, the tour will consist of only seven dates sprinkled around the Northeast and Midwest. No more, no less.
Queuing collective drooling in three…two…one.
