In his review of The Builders and the Butchers’ Salvation Is A Deep Dark Well, our own EN May had the following to say about the Portland outfit’s upcoming sophomore effort: “This record, like their last, adds grandiosity to the indie folk/country explosion in the way the Arcade Fire did for indie rock. Salvation’s energy blasts from the speakers and into the imagination like a soundtrack to those King novels, and provide almost the same escape. Just be sure you can find your way home when the music stops.”

Strong words for sure, and ones which fans will be able to experience for themselves when The Builders and the Butchers hit the road next month in support of the album. Following a couple hometown one-offs later this month, the Oregonians will embark on a month-long North American trek centered around an appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza.
