Watch: Blink-182 hit up Kimmel this time around

After a disappointing two-night run on Jay Leno a few weeks back, Blink-182 returned to late night on Wednesday, only this time appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. With still a month and some change left before their star-studded tour starts, Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker continued to unleash the hits. Let’s just say, to borrow from the band’s back catalog, the crowd was more than, “enthused.”

In fact, you could hardly hear the band with the raging Los Angeles audience hollering away surrounding them. Fans arrived in troves, even scaling the perimeter walls and nearby roofs. Capitalizing on the demand, Kimmel came off quite pleased, wearing a thumb sucking smile that only said one thing: “Yes California, you know you want this. I delivered. Suck me, beautiful.” But what about the other three on-stage? Much like their Leno picture 11 300x195 Watch: Blink 182 hit up Kimmel this time aroundappearances, they seemed rather, well, just there. “What’s My Age Again?” opened the night’s musical sets, and during the measly three minutes or so, there was hardly any interesting stage interaction. Hoppus kept things safe, DeLonge sauntered around like a zombie, and Barker pounded away like he does anyhow.

Things changed, albeit slightly, during crowd-fan-everyone else in the world-favorite “Dammit”. The infectious riff, that’s sure to remind 30-somethings of hazy high school parties, bought the spirits up drastically. Hoppus bobbed around, Barker really started pummeling, and… DeLonge delivered yet another bored, expressionless chorus. What the hell, man? You’d think with an actual fanbase, he’d look happier than your average Precint-13 mug shot.

Oh well, maybe when they start playing shit off of Blink-182
