Farts!
Apparently the four major record labels aren’t happy selling songs à la carte via iTunes and in partnership with Apple, they’re developing a new project, “Cocktail,” to entice music lovers to buy full-length albums instead of just singles. How will they be doing it? Why they’re creating interactive liner-notes of course! The project will provide lyrics, photos, videos, and provide the ability to play the music outside of iTunes. Those close to the project say the service is slated for a September release date which is just in time for Apple’s response to Amazon’s Kindle, a new tablet-sized touch screen computer with access to the internet and consequently iTunes. Neither Apple or the ‘Big Four’ would comment on the project, apparently their lips are sealed… good thing they can still type!
