Considering the collaboration that is the Monsters of Folk did get its start on the road, it only seems appropriate that the quartet of M. Ward, Jim “Yim” James “Yames”, Mike Mogis, and the artist formerly known as Bright Eyes, Mr. Conor Oberst, has announced plans for a fall tour in support of its self-titled debut.

Beginning October 13th, the Monsters will embark on a 17-date North American tour in Vancouver, British Columbia. After heading south through California, the foursome travels east before ultimately ending the American component of its adventures in Philadelphia on November 9th. Then, it’s on to Europe for two more weeks worth of dates.

An exclusive pre-sale for North American tickets will begin Tuesday, July 28th, with a general on-sale scheduled for Friday, July 31st. European tixs will be up for grabs starting Monday, July 27th.

Monsters of Folk, the album, hits records stores on September 22nd.
