It’s no secret The Raveonettes are working on the followup to 2008’s Lust, Lust, Lust. In fact, if you’re a follower of the band’s Twitter, you probably already know everything that follows… and more. But for the sake of all you non-Tweeters out there, here’s what we know about the Danish duo’s forthcoming LP.
To start with, we have a title, In and Out of Control, and a tentative release date for October 6th on Vice Records. Although the song, “In and Out of Control”, will not be on the album, you can now listen to it as well as “Boys Who Rape” and “Last Dance” by registering at Vice’s website. A video of the duo performing in the studio has also been released — you can check that out below. And finally, as for the content itself, according to Sharin Foo in a recent interview with Billboard “…this record is very much a collection of songs which each has their own individual emotion, energy and personality.” Got all that?
The band is set to tour in the fall, kicking off on October 14th in New York and continuing into November before wrapping up on the 15th in Las Vegas. Austin band The Black Angels are set to support the October dates, no support announced yet for the November shows. All dates below.
