Last night, Phish confirmed that the great state of California would play host to its forthcoming three-day festival. Tonight, Trey Anastasio and Co. have taken time to share specifics.

This year’s festival will be called Festival 8, because, as the name suggests, it will mark the band’s eighth overall festival. As rumored, it will take place on Halloween Weekend (October 30-November 1) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the same location where the Coachella and Stage Coach Music Festivals take place yearly. Over the course of the three days, Phish will perform eight sets, including the Halloween cover album. Costumes, spooktacular covers, and scary, drug-induced ghostly images are all expected to be prevalent.

Tickets will be priced at $199.00 and will go on sale beginning Monday, July 27th at 10 AM PST via  http://places.musictoday.com/festival8. All other details and info can be found at phish.com/festival8.

In non-festival news, Phish recently announced that it will be pushing back the release of its new album, Joy, from July 28th to September 8th.
