As previously reported, the Pixies will tour the U.S. in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the band’s legendary album, Doolittle. Today, Frank Black and Co. officially confirmed when and where this will be occurring.
Following an appearance at the Virgin Festival Ontario and a month worth of European performances, the Pixies will travel stateside during the month of November for a nine-city, 14-date run. Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York will all be getting multiple nights, the latter of which comes just days prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. What better work up an appetite, eh?
According to Rolling Stone, as in Europe, the shows will feature all of Doolittle’s 15 tracks, related b-sides, and other “Doolittle-related surprises,” as well as other Pixies favorites.
