Downtown Records celebrates the signing of White Denim by bringing its sophomore release, Fits, to the states on October 20th. The Austin power trio comprised of Josh Block, James Petralli, and Steve Terbecki originally released the 12-track effort on their European label Full Time Hobby last month and while they had always planned to bring Fits to North America, they just needed to find the right home. Luckily for them (and us), Downtown scooped them up and added to an already impressive list of artists, such as Major Lazer, Amanda Blank, MSTRKRFT, Justice and Santigold.

Fits, the followup to the band’s 2008 debut, Workout Holiday, flows well from beginning to end, providing the listener with a seamless listening experience by using stellar transitions between tracks. There’s also no time to lose focus with track breaks as White Denim effortlessly changes gears and keep the pedal to the metal. Singer/Guitarist Petralli sums it up with the blueprint of “set the tempos high and set off”.

While we patiently wait for the seasons to change and new tour dates, you can watch the official video for the first single “I Start To Run” below…
