Bob Dylan to voice GPS? May direct drivers to Highway 61

Between events like recording a Christmas album and wandering around in front yards in New Jersey, it’s a wonder that Bob Dylan has much free time to pursue any business deals. However, it looks like that’s exactly what he’s doing. As TwentyFourBit so awesomely points out, the legendary singer/songwriter is apparently in talks with several car companies about lending his voice to their GPS navigational systems.

Dylan recently told listeners on his Theme Time Radio Hour show:

I am talking to a couple of car companies about being the voice of their GPS system. I think it would be good if you are looking for directions and hear my voice saying something like: “Left at the next street, no a right – you know what? Just go straight.” I probably shouldn’t do it because whichever way I go I always end up at one place: Lonely Avenue.

Sounds like there may be quite a few more people wandering around random neighborhoods if Dylan succeeds in his latest venture.

In the meantime, catch him on tour.
