Gogol Bordello’s live show is a collection of wild, crazy, and filthy events that’ll lead any true fan into a coma of gypsy punk rock fantastica; aching, craving and willing to kill for more. It’s no wonder that this raucous troup keeps touring the world non-stop, considering the reputation they’re meant to live up to. But now, Gogol Bordello has made plans to release a new live DVD/CD titled Live from Axis Mundi so that we may all experience the ultimate punk rock parranda that perfectly illustrates their many forces of victory in our very own homes!
The new live bundle is set to hit stores on October 6th and will feature footage from two sold out performances at the famous Irving Plaza in New York City from 2007. Not only will Live from Axis Mundi include live performances of many of their famous punk rock melodies such as, “Start Wearing Purple”, “Immigrant Punk”, and “Wonderlust King”, but it’ll also collect an impressive amount of demos, bonus tracks and music videos.
The loaded two-disc set will also feature previously unreleased tracks including “Stivali E Colbacco” and “Troubled Friends”, six exclusive tracks from their BBC sessions and an instrumental version of “Immigrant Punk”.
In support of the release, Gogol Bordello will embark on a North American tour beginning in October.
