If you’ve ever watched (or attended) a European music festival, you’ve probably noticed many attendees wave gigantic flags around as their favorite bands are performing. Some symbolize a hometown, others have to do with the band performing. Whatever the case may be, the organizers behind this year’s Reading Music Festival don’t like them… and don’t want attendees of this year’s festivals to bring them.
The festival broke the news and unveiled this monumental discovery by stating: “Flags won’t be allowed in the arena. They restrict the view of people behind.”
According to eFestivals, this is the first time such a rule has been put into effect at a European festival.
Take it in while you can…
The Reading Music Festival and its sister festival, the Leeds Music Festival, will take place from August 28th to 30th. Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Bloc Party, and The Prodigy are among the acts set to perform.
