All Points West wasn’t the only music festival to take the east coast by storm this past weekend (no pun intended). Up the road, the Newport Folk Festival, now known as George Wein’s Folk Festival, returned to Newport, Rhode Island for its 50th go around. Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, and Billy Bragg played, as did The Decemberists, Fleet Foxes, Ben Kweller, and many others. And while there may have not been anything on the level of Electric Dylan, this year’s edition looked to be as good as ever.

Fortunatly, NPR.org was there to capture it all and is currently streaming most of the Newport performances on its website.
