Ten years after releasing their emo classic Something To Write Home About, Kansas City’s The Get Up Kids will remember the release with a deluxe reissueon September 8th. And for a band that has been officially disbanded for over four years, save for a hometown reunion gig last November, them kids are still doing it right.

In addition to a DVD featuring footage of the aforementioned reunion performance the reissue will also include seven  bonus tracks of demos from the Something To Write Home About sessions, which will be available for download. Pre-orders for the CD/live DVD set are now available on the band’s merch store.

Of course, the reissue is really only the beginning of The Get Up Kid’s full-fledged return. As previously reported on CoS, the band is taking to the road for a comprehensive tour of Europe and North America. Check out the dates below.
