We here at CoS are suckers for the iconic essentials of rock and roll, like those really elaborate, not-so-often world tours that see bands leave for months at a time, playing every city in every country possible until relationships crumble and bodies break down. But thankfully, those glorious Swedes known as The Sounds are bringing the world tour back old-school style.
Like some kind of glorious power band from the 70s, The Sounds will rock clubs and bars from Quebec to Florida to Los Angeles and beyond before spending much of the winter stomping across Europe. This dense schedule is all in support of the somewhat disappointing Crossing the Rubicon album.
This touring effort is especially impressive after the band has spent the last several months playing arenas with Fall Out Boy and various amphitheaters with No Doubt. But now they’re headliners with their own bands to outshine. Foxy Shazam will back up the band in North American and Matt and Kim open in Europe.
Keep checking The Sounds MySpace for more tour news and updates.
