The Detour Festival, the annual fall music festival that has brought likes of The Mars Volta, Beck, Basement Jaxx, and Justice to downtown Los Angeles in recent years, will not be taking place this year. According to West Coast Sound, the event is on a hiatus, with organizers currently devoting their attention to a smaller scale event for one of the city’s open-air facilities. That said, a return is possible. “The word that was stressed when West Coast Sound received news of Detour’s status was hiatus. As in: this is no End of Detour kind of thing,” the blog goes on to report.
