Sonic Youth has been forced to postpone several upcoming tour dates due to a fractured wrist sustained by guitarist Lee Ranaldo. The effected dates, which mostly consist of the upcoming west coast portion of its North American tour, have already been rescheduled for early January. Well, aside from the band’s appearance at Austin City Limits because, unfortunately, things like that can’t be pushed back. Update: The September 26th date in Santa Barbara will also not be rescheduled.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Lee fractured his wrist while playing tennis.
