Still not a fan of breaks, Los Campesinos! are full steam ahead in the release of their third studio album, as evident by the recently unveiled mp3, titled The Sea Is A Good Place To Think Of The Future.
Yesterday, the Welsh outfit took the most important step in preparation for the release and the massive publicity blitz that will surely follow by announcing the replacement for founding member/vocalist Alexs Campesinos!. We’ll let the band take it from here…
“It is our utmost pleasure to officially announce on this beautiful Monday, the joining of Kim Campesinos! as our new vocalist and keyboard player (and a whole lot more). As Im sure most of you are aware, Kim joins the band following Aleks departure to return to her studies. In Kim we have a more than worthy successor. We are friends from way, way back, and I hope youll make her feel very welcome.”
Oh, and how about a video announcement, live from a packed LC! stadium, for good measures…
Speaking of massive publicity blitz, Los Campesinos! has announced that a song titled “These Are Listed Buildings” will be the first single off the band’s yet-to-be-titled third album. It will be available for purchase at their October U.K. tour dates, and in a limited amount in stores after the tour finishes.
