It just so happens that on the final day of Phish Festival 8, which is being held at Coachella’s usual home of Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, Phish will do something it has never done before: play a full acoustic set. As TwentyFourBit reports, it’ll be a daytime show starting at “the crack of noon,” (cue the never-ending list of jokes about hippies’ dislike of the morning hours) on the final day of the fest. And taking a cue from Bon Iver, coffee and donuts will be served, too!
The set follows two electric performances on Friday, October 30th, and three on the 31st, including a special 7:30 performance dubbed “The Halloween Set.” After the acoustic set, the band will perform two additional electric shows.

In other news (or lack thereof), the band has yet to confirm that rumored fall tour and appearance at Big Cypress on New Years Eve. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
