Son Volt has already performed in a select number of cities this summer in support of Farrar and Co.’s latest goody, American Central Dust. In July, the band brought its alt-folk rock with the company of Cowboy Junkies, and it looks like the music will continue into the fall. The band will begin the first of 28 dates, 16 of which are new additions, on Sept. 10, at the Exit/In in Nashville, Tennessee. Son Volt will stop in Philly, Albany, and Detroit followed by a short break before heading over to Missouri and Texas, and landing back in Tennessee. Get out there and see ’em!
In the meantime, keep your ears open for the Kerouac-related Jay Farrar, Ben Gibbard collaboration.
