The artist formerly known as Cat Stevens plans micro tour

The man known as Cat Stevens abandoned his acoustic folk rock pop in December 1977 for the spiritual realm and serenity he found in Islam and in the new name of Yusuf Islam. But like his nine-lived namesake, Islam found the guitar calling him back to life and he has returned with a new album and his first tour in 33 years.

Going by the singular Yusuf, the man behind “Wild World” released his second studio album (the follow to 2006’s An Other Cup) since his 28-year leave entitled Roadsinger (To Warm You Through the Night) this past May. Now the singer/songwriter will play four shows in the UK from Mid-November to early December. Expect selections from the new album, goodies from his Stevens catalog and even some cuts from his musical Moonshadow, which played at the West End in London.

Tickets for the shows go on sale September 21st.
