The Killers are no strangers to the concept that to be a star, people have got to see you. Whether you think lines like “I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier” are pop magic or pure lunacy, the boys from Vegas and their rapid fire release of albums and constant touring and festival appearances have secured them a place in the musical echelon. Their grip on your synapses gets a little tighter with the release of a live DVD.
The Killers: Live From The Royal Albert Hall features performance footage from the band’s July 5-6 performance at the venerable music hall that has played host to everyone from the Beatles to Frank Sinatra. The DVD will also feature a behind-the-scenes documentary and the band’s first live CD.
In other Killers news, the Las Vegas rockersare featured on the apparently ridiculous New Moon soundtrack and they’ll be touring South America and South Africa around Christmas. After that, it’s surely back to the studio for their album of covers.
The live DVD goes on sale November 10th.
