Don’t look know but Trent Reznor is already reportedly making plans for his return. Now, just weeks after the legendary musician waved goodbye with Nine Inch Nails, comes word that he’ll soon hit the studio with the King of Synthpop, aka Gary Numan, for some sort of epic collaboration.
“Yes. I know he wants to carry on doing music things,” said Numan when asked about a possible collaboration in a recent interview with The Quietus. “We went out a few days after [the LA gigs] with a few other people and the way he puts it is when the dust settles - I think he means his marriage but I think hes going to be pretty busy for a while, so itll either be later this year or early next.”
No word on the exact the intention would be, but as Numan added, it probably won’t be in the form of a full-length album… at least not yet: “Probably just a few songs to start with and see how it goes on. It’ll be cool.”
While you’re waiting, get yourself totally psyched, as if you aren’t already, by watching the duo’s recent on stage collaboration of “Cars” during NIN’s concert at the O2 Arena this past July…
