CMJ Music Marathon unveils complete 2009 programming

With the 2009 edition of the CMJ Music Marathon set to kick off two weeks from today, organizers behind the New York’s largest music event have put the finishing touches on this year’s lineup. And not surprising, this year’s lineup is very large (gajillion might be the appropriate number), diverse (over 25 countries and territories will be represented), and musically eclectic (see next paragraph).

This year’s scheduled highlights include indie heroes Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, rapper Busta Rhymes, TV on the Radio’s Kyp Malone and his Rain Machine solo project, The Lemonhead’s Evan Dando, comedian Margret Chao, reggae musician Julian Marley, DJ A-Trak, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s Alec Ounsworth, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, next-big-thingers The xx, and electronic act YACHT. Find a list of of our perceived act of notes via the Outlook. Hit CMJ.com for everyone and anyone else.

Registration for this year’s Marathon is still ongoing at CMJ.com, but will end on October 18th. As of now, five-day passes are priced at $495 ($295 for students).
