The New York City-based The Bravery‘s sound has earned attention for the New York natives since their 2005 self-titled debut. Now, with the release of their third album, the band is looking to boost its prestige even further.
The aforementioned debut and 2007’s The Sun And The Moon garnered hits “An Honest Mistake” and “Believe”. But with Stir the Blood, the band could be going for a new tinge to their post-punk, New Wave sound by hiring producer John Hill, who has also worked with M.I.A. and Santigold. While working on the album, lead singer Sam Endicott and Hill also wrote three songs for Shakira’s She Wolf, including the hit title track.
On top of the album, the band embarked on a 30-city tour on Thursday in Denver, one which will continue through November 11th in Vancouver. Tickets here.
Stir the Blood is due out November 10th on Island Records. The first single, “Slow Poison”, is out now.
