With the November 3rd release of Raditude looming, Weezer has announced a few more things that qualify as, well, rad.
First and foremost, in support of the new album, Rivers Cuomo and Co. have added a few more U.S. tour dates to go along with two previously announced shows in Los Angeles and New York (the former also features the recently reunited Wax on the bill, while the latter takes place on Halloween — spooky!) and those secret performances. Now, Weezer has six dates in December to look forward to; the fun launches on December 1st in Chicago and currently caps off on the 10th in Philadelphia — more dates are promised. Pre-sales for the newly announced shows will begin on Saturday, October 24th via Ticketmaster.com.
Also on the performances calendar will be two back-to-back spots on The Late Show With David Letterman on October 29th and 30th… Bono-esque. These performances could look something like this…
though, this is the Snuggie-era Weezer we’re talking about, so who knows. Speaking of the Snuggie-era, the band has also announced that it will release its personalized version of the infamous blanket, known as the Wuggie, on November 3rd — the same day Raditude is scheduled to hit stores.
Finally, Weezer will unveil a brand video for the album’s first single, “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To” on Thursday, October 22nd at Babelgum.com. But we’ll have more on that later… after we’ve actually seen the video.
This has been tonight’s edition of Rad news.
