This week, Chicago-based label, Hozak records, released Medication’s debut album, This Town. The one-man, bathroom-recording project, is the work of Milford, Connecticut’s Mikey Hyde, who eerily synchs lo-fi dissonance saturated in lyrical melancholy with a slight glimpse of morning’s first sun. Hyde introduces his seminal 4-track creation with a “Hey!”, then allows the listener to drift through This Town accompanied by “static-laden” echos reverberating from life’s ills.
