Megadeth, Slayer’s “American Carnage” tour postponed

Metal fans will have to wait a little longer than anticipated for their next fit of “American Carnage.” As the Rock It Out! Blog reports and an issued press release confirms, Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament have been forced to postpone their upcoming North American tour due to health issues. Apparently Slayer’s bassist/vocalist Tom Araya is in need of back surgery which cannot be postponed.

Megadeth are currently scheduling a U.S. headline run for March and April, and hope to reschedule the “American Carnage” tour for Summer ’10. And who knows, maybe they can bring some of their other friends with them

Anyone who has purchased an “American Carnage” ticket is advised to hold onto it until further notice.
